Summer Fundraiser

As we near the end of summer, I’m so greatful for tremendous support at my Summer Fundraiser.

Elections are built on support and last night I felt so much of that. Thank you to everyone who came to support my campaign. A heartfelt thank you to Congresswoman @grace4ny and Councilwoman @votechristineliu for their support and guidance.

The energy showed me people want change and I will do whatever I can to bring more representation and empathy back to North Hempstead, because that’s what we deserve.

But here is my challenge for you. I have a goal to raise $30,000 by Labor Day which will put me in the best position to win this November. So please continue to donate, help me fundraise by asking 10 of your friends to donate $250 each.

This is a tough challenge, but with your help, I know we can do this!

Career Day: Inside Medicine

Last week, I had the privilege of moderating an inspiring Career Day event sponsored by eye&I Optometry. The evening brought together local students and an outstanding panel of professionals including Dr. Crystal Han, Dr. Avy Ariyev, Dr. Michael Lau, and Dr. Joseph Han.

Students had the valuable opportunity to hear real-life career experiences and insights directly from these accomplished professionals. The event was a collaborative effort with the Gold Coast Rotary Club, and we were thrilled to see strong participation from both parents and students.

Events like these highlight the importance of connecting our young people with local professionals and mentors who can help guide their future career paths. It's exactly this kind of community engagement that makes North Hempstead such a special place to live and raise a family.

Thank you to all the panelists, sponsors, and participants who made this evening such a success!

Representation Matters

I had the honor of attending a media roundtable with Congresswoman Grace Meng (@grace4ny), Democratic Queens District Leader John Park, and Juleigh Chin (@juleighchinfornassauleg) who is running for Nassau County Legislator for District 9 to discuss our focus on bringing more Asian representation to Long Island.

Right now we over 235,000 residents in North Hempstead, nearly 30% are Asian American, yet we have just 1 Chinese American elected representative in our entire town in Councilwoman Christine Liu

Think about that disparity. More than one-quarter of our population, with minimal representation.

We have the opportunity to change that disparity and make history. If elected, Juleigh would become the first Asian American elected to Nassau County Legislator, while I would be the first Chinese American elected to North Hempstead Town Clerk.

Great personal achievements but significant steps toward more representation.
